Job Summary/Basic Function
About This Role:
The Competitive Sports Coordinator will lead student staff within the intramural sports and club sports department areas. This role requires comprehensive leadership skills, risk management and facility management, strategic planning and fostering collaborative relationships on campus and in the community.
What You'll Do
Responsible for the administration and consistent programming of the intramural sport program.
Responsible for the supervision of club sport teams, including leadership
development of club officers, assisting with roster management, travel paperwork,
etc.

Creates consistent educational material for intramural referee staff.
Manages intramural sports equipment inventory and budget.
Collaborates with other departments on campus to boost program participation.
Creates opportunity for intramural staff to participate in regional NIRSA tournaments
for professional development.
Assists with additional programming within the Recreation department.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related field.
Two years' experience at a college or university in recreation department with intramural sport programming
Current First Aid, CPR and AED certification.
Demonstrated experience in supervising student staff within an intramural department.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, Kinesiology or related field.
Officiating experience on the NIRSA extramural level or high school level.
