The Coordinator, Communications will execute marketing strategy for Excela Health. The incumbent will be responsible for communicating with service line leaders about marketing initiatives. He or she will update and create messaging for public marketing materials, print and outdoor advertising and write copy for both media and system websites with attention to brand integrity.
Essential Job Functions
Develop internal and external advertising campaign budgets and ensure campaign operates within that budget.
Oversee execution of marketing plans and programs, both short and long rage, to ensure profit, growth and expansion of services.
Mentor and train junior level coordinators and designers who prepare advertising programs.
Develop content for creative team.
Approve the work of external and internal creative team on content and graphic design.
Prioritize and control production of advertising.
Lead editing sessions.
Coordinate delivery of production to media outlets.
Prepare Excel spreadsheets for marketing, communications, advertising and budget initiatives.
Coordinate and produce quality, creative and compelling proposals, presentations and other business development and marketing materials for senior executives and board of trustees.
Involved in all aspects of web design, such as testing the website and identify any problems.
Work with web vendors to provide updates including service line hours of operation, staffing changes, physical address moves, etc.
Gather data for creating and submitting corporate 990.
Share branding standards for vendors creating digital and physical collaterals.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field and 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, writing, public relations, and/or digital marketing/social media marketing.
Excellent communication, writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency in Web Content Management Systems.
Preferred Education and Experience
Proficiency in DotNetNuke wed-editing environment preferred.
Understanding of AP writing style preferred.
