Job Description:

The Counseling & Wellness Center is currently inviting applications for a Clinical Case Manager. Under the general direction of the Counseling and Wellness Center Director, this position requires a variety of skills involving case management, counseling, outreach and consultation. The majority of the Case Manager's time is allotted to maintain and monitor a clinical case management system to provide continuity of care for clients. Case management may include meeting with clients who are in need of intensive outpatient or inpatient mental health services, hospital visits, obtaining external referral services for students, maintaining database of community providers, treatment planning, and coordination of care, including follow up communication and/or meetings with clients or community providers. This position requires excellence in clinical case management service delivery including crisis coverage and emergency intervention. Duties also include on-call counselor duties and serving as a resource to various constituencies on campus in an effort to enhance student life. The Case Manager handles the delicate task of contacting legal guardians of students, and coordinating post hospitalization plans along with regular follow-up with external providers and other University of Florida stakeholders.

Some evenings and weekend hours are required. The Case Manager is expected to perform his/her duties conscientiously and responsibly; to adhere to high personal standards of behavior with students, colleagues, members of the University community and clients of the University; and in a manner consistent with the ethics of his/her own profession. The successful applicant is expected to keep himself/herself informed of current research and professional developments in his/her professional field.

Specific duties include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and monitoring a clinical case management system to provide continuity of care and follow-up for clients.

  • Assisting students with social services needs including, but not limited to, referral to community resources and facilitating access to medical care (including coordination of hospitalizations and discharge planning).

  • Following up to ensure that clients are appropriately assessed, successfully referred, and compliant with treatment recommendations.

  • Providing daytime and on-call crisis services.

  • Consulting with faculty, staff, students, and family members, who are concerned about a student. Some possibility to provide outreach services depending on case management demands.

  • Initiating and developing ongoing liaison relationships with other university departments, community health providers, services, hospitals, and other resources.

  • Completing records punctually according to record keeping/report writing procedures that are currently operative at the Counseling and Wellness Center and required by legal and ethical regulations.

  • Preparing and submitting all service reports or other communications involving the clinical operations of the CWC which are intended for persons, departments, or agencies outside of the CWC for review and approval of the Director or Associate Director.

The Early Learning, Intern and Family Program Coordinator creates and develops programs that support interns, K-12 students, educators and families as it relates to the Harn Museum of Art exhibitions, collections, and educational activities. Specific duties include: * Creates and develops programs that support exhibitions targeted toward K-12 students. * Collaborates with university and community educators and early learning program leaders to develop programs that will be presented at the museum, in schools, and online. * Coordinates K-12 student art installations. * In collaboration with the Director of Education and Curator of Academic Programs, develops and implements the museum-wide intern program. * Working with museum staff, organizes and coordinates the application, recruitment, orientation, training, and evaluation processes. * Conducts outreach to universities/colleges and students to create awareness of the museum intern program and opportunities. * Collaborates with the Human Resources Manager to facilitate paid internship awards. * Organizes tours for a wide variety of groups including, but not limited to, university and college classes, community groups, and schools. * Coordinates tour rotation schedule of volunteer docent tour guides. * Frequently interfaces with these and other groups to confirm a positive visitor and learning experience. * In collaboration with the Director of Education and Curator of Academic Programs, develops and produces programs for K-12 educators through an open house and educator workshops. * In tandem with colleagues from the curatorial, education and marketing departments, creates an assortment of materials that support exhibition-related and educational programs. * Develops curricula related to exhibitions and permanent collections for use by educators in their classrooms and in support of museum visits. * Conducts, manages, and evaluates programs for family audiences including Tot Time and Family Days. * Designs age-appropriate activities and acquires materials that inspire children and families to explore art. * Represents the museum through continual interaction with public school educators and staff. * Serves as liaison to the university and to regional, private, and public educational organizations. * Collaborates with university colleagues and serves on university-wide committees. * Participates in learning opportunities in order to be cognizant of the most current professional methods and literature regarding student and educator programs, museum educational practices and volunteer program management. * Contributes to the preparation of the annual budget in support of early learning, K-12, internship, and family programs through the museum's budget process. * Executes related administrative documents, including but not limited to, purchase request forms, maintenance work orders, and IT requests. * Seeks grants for existing and new programs. * Participates in education department staff meetings, exhibition planning meetings, long-range and strategic planning meetings, finance meetings, and grant applications. * Supervises OPS employees, volunteers, interns and work-study students while working closely with other departments within the museum. Expected Salary: $32,000.00 annually Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
