Job Summary: The program coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing services and activities related to the program.
Functions as a liaison between the physicians, nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, patients and their families. Coordinates and facilitates the care for the patient throughout the continuum. Works closely with physicians and nursing to ensure clinical care path is followed, as appropriate.
Responsible for planning, organizing, and evaluation of patient care within the program as well as compliance with regulatory bodies and national guidelines for the program. Has teaching responsibilities for maintaining and promoting quality care and clinical base practice. Assist with planning, implementing and evaluating quality performance improvement program through department and interdepartmental quality improvement and organized wide planning activities.
Applies good verbal and non verbal skills to achieve services goals of customer satisfaction and a positive working environment. May perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications:
LICENSURE: Valid RN license and registration with the California Board of Registered Nurses EDUCATION: Bachelor#s Degree CERTIFICATION: BLS EXPERIENCE:
Five years of recent clinical experience as RN in acute care clinical setting. Functions with ability to develop effective action plans and implement to successful conclusion. Preferred Qualifications EDUCATION:
Master#s Degree in Nursing CERTIFICATION: ACLS Certification; Specialty Certification a plus, i.e. Critical Care RN (CCRN), Operation Room RN (CNOR) or RN Diabetes Certified Educator (CDE); national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.#Proficient computer skills in the use of Microsoft applications and PowerPoint.
