Reporting to the Director of Alumni Events and Operations, the Business Operations Coordinator provides a high level of support to the Alumni Relations & Annual Giving team, with a focus on the managing day to day business processes, including accounts payable processing, procurement, petty cash and event registration. The position supports Alumni Relations & Annual Giving in navigating the procurement and payment processes with both internal and external vendors and provides tools and resources to help staff effectively manage their individual program operations. The position also processes the Temple University Alumni Association (TUAA) budget and business transactions and supports the Director, Alumni Events & Operations in managing the TUAA Budget & Investments Committee. The Coordinator serves as an integral member of the Alumni Relations & Annual Giving team and provides a high level of organizational and operational support to the department, specifically in terms of event logistics and operations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree, Accounting or Finance preferred, and a minimum of two years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Excellent organization skills and the ability to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously
Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills
Proficient in MS Office suite, Quickbooks and fundraising databases
Ability to establish and maintain operational systems and procedures, and ensure adherence to same
Must be task, detail, schedule and priority oriented
Requires high degree of sensitivity to "customer service" issues and positive resolution techniques
Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
Results-oriented, facts-driven, with high energy and drive, a positive attitude, and excellent listening skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of constituencies
