Overview
MLS/SUM is seeking a passionate sports sales professional to join the Brand Alliances team. Based in New York, the Coordinator, Brand Alliances will assist the department with the sale of integrated sponsorship opportunities to grow the sport's relevance, engage fans and maximize enterprise revenue. The Brand Alliances team is tasked with securing new enterprise sponsorship revenue for Major League Soccer (MLS), its clubs, Soccer United Marketing (SUM) and its property partners (e.g., Concacaf, Mexican National Team, Leagues Cup, etc.).
Responsibilities
Support the implementation and execution of the annual sales strategy
Develop and deliver property, industry, category, and brand-specific research
Concept development and aiding in the creation of sales overview materials, pitch decks, collateral pieces, and proposals
Participate in partnership ideation process
Assist in administrative tasks for sales accounts and contribute to day-to-day department operations and management
Spearhead event hospitality and client gifting strategy for department
Manage Sponsorship revenue pipeline (Salesforce)
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
Hunger to learn sponsorship sales process and grow into a sports sales professional

High proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Skills (but not required):
Strong familiarity with sports, especially soccer
Knowledge of Scarborough, Nielsen and other research tools
Experience using Salesforce platform
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
Total Rewards
Starting Base Salary $45,000 - $55,000. MLS/SUM base salaries are contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
