Job Description
The W. P. Carey School of Business Undergraduate Programs area is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and self-motivated individual to work on its First Year Experience team.
The FYE team works to implement programming aimed at retention, connection, and engagement of first-year W. P. Carey students. Under Director and Program Manager supervision, this position works within the WPC 101 team to coordinate multiple aspects of WPC 101 (first-year student success course for immersion and online business students) and WPC 484 (leadership course for student facilitators of WPC 101). This includes, but is not limited to, the daily operations of the WPC 101 program, recruitment, selection, training, engagement, and oversight of approximately 200 volunteer student facilitators and 30 volunteer staff facilitators.
This position will work closely with the WPC 101 Program Manager to develop curriculum and train students in weekly classroom sessions of WPC 484. This position may supervise WPC 101 student workers. WPC 101 is the weekly success course for approximately 4,000 business students, for immersion and online students. This position will assist with training staff and student paraprofessionals who facilitate the classes, while also developing and co-facilitating an upper division training and leadership course for student facilitators; tracking and reporting data; and developing learning products and experiences for synchronous and asynchronous engagement.
Additionally, this individual will provide support for large undergraduate programs office events such as Business Community Advantage, Fall Welcome, Family Weekend, and Convocation and will work with a variety of other staff members - both at W. P. Carey and across campus. This individual must be successful managing many details, taking initiative, and demonstrating integrity.

Working Environment
Work with university students one-on-one and in group/class settings in-person, virtually (Zoom), via phone, and e-mail. Communicate effectively to develop marketing materials; create metrics; provide reports in various formats (electronic, hard-copy, etc.); and present information to faculty, administrators, staff, campus partners, and students. Lift/move up to 30 pounds (materials, brochures, boxes, etc.). Utilize computer, phone, and various technologies (Zoom, Google, Dropbox, etc.), office equipment (fax, copier, etc.). Work some extended hours, including evenings and/or weekends, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Essential Duties
Support First-Year student programming through the WPC 101 program to allow students to make meaningful connections and learn about university and academic resources
Will recruit, select, train, teach, and manage student leaders
May support and train professional staff who facilitate WPC 101
Support student leaders participating in WPC initiatives aimed at retention of first-year students
May coordinate and support oversight of tasks related to WPC 101 and WPC 484, such as building timelines, lesson plans, LMS management, assignment modules, and data assessment
May provide training, information, and guidance to faculty, staff, students, and external partners about WPC 101 program
Actively participate in and attend college-related events including W. P. Carey and ASU Welcome activities, Family Weekend, Convocation, etc.
