Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work

Minimum Qualifications

Essential Duties
Ordering textbooks for faculty; distributing desk copies of textbooks to Teaching Assistants
Managing the rental of General Chemistry lockers
Coordinating the copying, scanning, or grading exams
Maintaining and running office equipment including photocopiers and automated grading machines
Reserving conference rooms, update class schedule
Serving as a liaison between faculty, students, and other university entities
Updating office policy manual as needed
Supervising and training student workers
Planning department and faculty events, including receptions and luncheons
Ordering of promotional materials
Providing administrative support for the SMS weekly seminar series including assisting with travel arrangements, reimbursements, schedules, and refreshments
Providing administrative support, as needed, to the Assistant to the Director with respect to academic personnel processes
Providing back-up assistance regarding front office, academic advising, and academic class scheduler activities (i.e., screen and direct phone calls and visitors with general academic and advising questions)
Serve as backup for class scheduling
Maintaining and updating the unit telephone directory
Act as backup for maintaining electronic department records of course materials including syllabi
Act as backup for ordering office supplies utilizing SunRise and Workday
Performing other functions designated by the Director, Associate Director, or Business Operations Manager.

Salary Range
$46,000 - $50,000 per year; DOE
