Responsible for managing daily transfer credit processes including the receipt, workflow and posting of incoming transcripts.

Serves as the initial and primary point of contact for excess hours processes, troubleshooting, and student support.

Serves as the point of contact and subsequently prepares excess hours files for appeals upon inquiry and request of the student.

Reviews student records and approves edits to student excess hours counts in accordance to 1009.286, F.S.

Responsible for the university's online major change process and managing the process in accordance to university policy.

Monitors and troubleshoots automated transfer credit posting process within PeopleSoft.

Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting EDI Transcript to ViewStar load process.

Serves as a liaison to advisors and other university administrators on issues related to excess hours, transfer credit processing, catalog year changes and requirements, and the state's policy on continuous enrollment.

Formulas and recommends procedures and policies that lead to efficient processing of student record processes and record changes.

Provides supervision to one program assistant.

Provides excess hours training and outreach to advisors, departments, and student groups.

Serves on the University's Commencement Team.

Serves as a member of the Orientation Team.

Represents the department, as needed, on appropriate department, divisional, and university committees and projects.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Additional Minimum Requirements Preferences

The ideal candidate will have experience in student affairs or enrollment services within a university setting with strong customer service experience, supervisory experience, demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with students, staff, and the public is critical to this position.

Experience with PeopleSoft is preferred.

Job Functions * General Responsibilities * Residents Rights * Sales Responsibilities * Utilizes Service Plus sales techniques with all sales encounters. Handles walk-in or telephone inquiries and invites referral source to nursing center; At the direction of the Admissions Director, follows-up on inquiries by conducting tours of the center, completing inquiry forms for admission paperwork, and providing all inquiries with brochures about nursing home, Medicare facts, and room rates; Gathers nursing information from outside social worker and floor nurse at hospital. * Utilizes Service Plus sales skills and persuasive techniques to obtain desired admissions to the nursing center; Keeps an inquiry log; Uses formal waiting list policy and keeps future reservations for residents; Reviews a list of unoccupied beds and makes preadmission reservations according to type of case and accommodation required. At the direction of the Admissions Director, ensures that a model room is maintained in the nursing center. * Maintains necessary knowledge of served market areas, resident origin, and major referral sources. * Admissions Process Responsibilities * Uses formal application to screen residents financially; Visits prospective residents in the hospital and makes assessment regarding his/her suitability for admission in the nursing center, when required; Contacts Social Services Department to verify eligibility; Contacts insurance companies to determine or verify coverage; Meets in center with families upon or before admission to sign paper work; Records information that identifies physician and patient, type of accommodation required, insurance coverage, and date of admission. Under supervision of Admissions Director, assumes responsibility for timely and accurate completion of admission contract * Explains differences in rates and charges to residents desiring changes of accommodations, and arranges for the change; Explains services and nursing home policy regarding payment of bills; Provides copies for families regarding limited liability treatment policy and legal surrogate; * Gives families a list of all department heads and a resident handbook, and interprets nursing home regulations to resident concerning visitors, visiting hours, and disposition of clothing and valuables. * Customer Satisfaction Responsibilities * Administrative Responsibilities * Staff Development * Safety and Sanitation * Special Activities/Attributes Education College degree preferred.
