Job Summary:

Provide excellent service to all internal customers every time. Picks up, sorts, meters, deliver and accounts for incoming and outgoing mail for Harrah's Casino New Orleans

Qualifications:

  • Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Sorts and delivers incoming and interdepartmental mail-throughout the property.

  • Meters and weighs outgoing mail.

  • Fills out and maintains appropriate logbooks registered, Fed-Ex, Certified and Mass Mailings.

  • Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.

  • Must be able to do receiving updates of PO's, copying and filing daily paperwork.

  • Will be required to cover receiving dock when other warehouse employees are not present.

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:

  • Able to continuously maneuver inside and outside

  • Able to maneuver on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.

  • Must able to drive a vehicle to various locations around the property area conducting errands for various departments on property.

  • Must possess dexterity in sorting mail in mail slots.

  • Must be able to reach below and above shoulder, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch and grip while performing mailroom functions.

  • Must be able to push and pull (with assistance of a cart) up to 100 pounds.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.

  • Must be able to operate a postage machine and weight scale

  • Respond to visual and aural cues.

  • Must be able to mentally retain and recall information pertaining to mail room functions.

  • Must be able to accurately receive purchase orders into Stratton Warren.

  • Must be able to concentrate for long periods of time and able to respond calmly and handle customer demands and needs.

  • Able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized and pay attention to details.
