ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Coordinates academic scheduling; builds the course schedule; monitors enrollments and waitlists; ensures compliance; and maintains schedule information.
Works closely and collaboratively with campus departments to support accurate, efficient, student-centered scheduling processes.
Calculates and shares accurate and timely course assignments and pay data for adjunct and full-time faculty. Prepares information for non-contractual instructor payments.
Coordinates the faculty release time process, tracking submissions and communicating assignments.
Facilitates the campus syllabus platform collaboratively with Instructional Technology and Information Technology, troubleshoots, provides support, and keeps current with platform training and development.
Creates and distributes the finals schedule.
Serves as the Bookstore liaison for Academic Affairs and faculty, supporting an efficient textbook ordering system and collaboratively troubleshooting issues.
Assists with adjunct faculty recruitment and hiring. Collaborates on adjunct schedules and assignments, and monitors schedules for compliance.
Supports the adjunct evaluation process, communicates and monitors status, and maintains files.
Participates on various committees such as Academic Calendar Committee, Program Review, and search committees.
Supports curriculum maintenance, Curriculum Committee processes, and maintains files.
Establishes and initiates effective and timely communication to ensure sharing of information.
Remains current in practices, trends, and research related to areas of assignment
Cross trains to perform other departmental and team functions; backfills for staff as needed.
Actively participates in the development of a climate that promotes and supports innovation and efforts to continuously improve services to students, faculty, and the College.
Creates and maintains a collaborative and collegial environment with colleagues and maintains effective working relationships.
Maintains professional ethics and confidentiality of students in accordance with applicable laws and policies
Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with students, staff and faculty
Skill in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products, specifically utilizing spreadsheets and formulas
Ability to apply data to inform decision-making
Skills and ability to operate student information systems
Ability to work within policies and procedures of FVCC
Ability and willingness to serve as an ambassador for the College by interacting appropriately with the College's community
Ability to maintain effective and positive professional relationships
Ability to follow and issue directions
Demonstrated communication, technology, presentation, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds
Ability to occasionally work non-traditional schedules including evenings or weekends
Ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance levels
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
Ability to respond in the event of an emergency
This is a Medium Duty job, according to the Selected Characteristics of Occupations Defined in the Revised Dictionary of Occupational Titles, U.S. Department of Labor and Industry. Medium Duty involves exertion of 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds continuously to move objects.
