POSITION SUMMARY: The Physician Relations Coordinator acts as the primary link between the organization, corporate physician recruitment and physician candidates. Work with Physician Relationship Manager as a liaison with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarillo (TTUHSC). Assist Credentialing Specialist with physician credentialing tasks for new providers. Support an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

PROVISION OF SERVICES

Physician Office Liaison

  • Functions as a liaison between the hospital and physician offices, facilitating communication between the office and hospital personnel

Texas Tech Housestaff Liaison

  • Assists the Physician Relationship Manager as liaison between the hospital administration and the Texas Tech housestaff

  • Schedule and coordinate the orientation for new housestaff in each July

Physician Gifts Log

  • Maintains an accurate list of all monetary and nonmonetary gifts given to physicians and provide updates to hospital administration on a regular basis.

Assist in Physician Credentialing

  • Assist Credentialing Specialist perform physician credentialing and be able to assume the responsibility of physician credentialing if necessary

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSE/REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

Graduate of a recognized college or university with a associate's degree required or bachelor's degree preferred from a recognized institution. Highly self-motivated and results orientated. Possess excellent communications skills, both written and spoken.   • Bending and lifting (5-10 lbs), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling.

  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data
