VIEW JOBS 4/24/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-23T00:00 The Clinical Research Program Manager for the Cancer Outcome Research Program (CORe) oversees the day-to-day management of the research staff, providing direct supervision to Project Managers and Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs). The Program Manager is responsible for staffing issues and must maintain a working knowledge of all aspects of clinical research data management. Research Responsibilities will include the following: * Collaborate with investigators on grant submissions including summarizing grant instructions and required elements; assisting with writing research proposals; developing templates for required documents; and collecting required documentation from investigators and study sites * Assist with manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed journals including performing literature reviews; outlining study methods and findings; and editing manuscripts prior to submission * Assist with writing protocols for CORe studies, including Institutional Review Board and informed consent documents, as well as maintaining study amendments and continuing reviews * Assist project managers in overseeing conduct of multi-site clinical trials, including developing standard operating procedures for study conduct; participating in weekly research meetings; overseeing the research staff for patient recruitment and enrollment; providing oversight of data collection and entry; and ensuring appropriate intervention delivery * Maintain and update investigators NIH biosketches and other support pages * Collaborate with MGH Research Management to submit and monitor grant proposals via Insight and serves as the liaison to the MGH Cancer Center Grants Administrator and Partners Research Management team * Maintain and update CORe email list serv and manage CORe meeting schedule of presentations, journal club and guest speakers * Develop and updated CORe development materials and annual updates for donors * Work with the Development Office to support activities for CORe donors, including the CORe Advisory Council * Oversee the CORe website and social media accounts to ensure both contain current and accurate information * Manage the CORe email and respond to queries Management responsibilities will include the following * Monitor staffing of CORe projects and oversee posting of new clinical research coordinator and project manager positions. Review all applications for CORe positions and perform telephone screens of potential candidates for interviews * Hire, oversee orientation and training, provide corrective action as necessary, evaluate performance, interpret hospital policies, and ensure adequate study coverage for CORe clinical research coordinators and project managers * Act as point of contact for all members of CORe to provide direction and guidance regarding day-to-day issues and activities within the program * Serve as point of contact for all staff regarding issues related to human resources and payroll. Serve as the timekeeper for the exempt, non-exempt, and Bullfinch temporary employees and liaison with Human Resources * Assess computer equipment acquisition and training needs * Manager CORe space at Nashua Street and in the Yawkey Building, including addressing all questions, issues and problems that arise with regard to space * Key giver for employees needing access to Epic and RedCap * BA/BS degree required * Masters or PhD preferred * 5-6 years of research experience required * Minimum of 2 years of management experience required Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Boston MA
