Responsibilities Clarion Psychiatric Center offers inpatient treatment for adults with moderate to severe psychiatric problems, inpatient crisis stabilization for children and adolescents, and a Partial Hospitalization Program for school-aged children. Our recently expanded 112-bed inpatient program has 4 units. Qualifications Job Specifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Education: Successful completion of ServeSafe class with certification. Experience: Two years experience as a high volume cook in commercial or institutional setting preferred Knowledge / Skills:Food preparation, use of equipment, dietary safety and sanitary procedures. Supervision Exercised: None Supervision Received: Dietary Supervisor, Dietary Director General Working Environment: Kitchen / Hospital setting. Staff working in this position may be required to intervene and assist with aggressive patients. Works in a well lighted and ventilated setting, is subject to frequent interruptions, is involved with the patients and personnel throughout designated unit under varying conditions and circumstances. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to HIV and Hepatitis B Viruses Physical Requirements:Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and be able to walk and stand for long periods. Able to participate in crisis prevention intervention.
