Lintons Food Service Management, a Top 50 Contract Food Service Company has an exciting opportunity for a food service leader in Coraopolis, PA to join our team.

Cook Supervisor

The Cook Supervisor is responsible for the preparation, cooking and distribution of all menu items for patients/residents, employees, visitors and special functions and will assist with any additional tasks determined by their supervisor. The Cook Supervisor will also assist in establishing and overseeing polices and standard operating procedures for the department.

Candidate must have a willingness to learn the fundamentals of preparation and/or service of meals, ordering & inventory. The Supervisor provides supervision and guidance to food service staff. Candidate must follow all outlined Company, State, Federal and other applicable health and safety regulations with regard to food service, equipment use and personal hygiene. Maintain a clean and safe work area. This position reports to a Food Service Director.


Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years cooking experience. Must be skilled in institutional cooking and be Serv Safe Certified or possess willingness to become Serv Safe Certified.

Food service experience in a healthcare environment a plus.

Capacity to assume leadership duties and oversee food preparation for adherence to standards, Display good communication and human relation skills as per Food Service Manager's direction.

All candidates must submit to a criminal, federal background check and drug testing.

In the supervisory role you are expected to manage your team, work with management, peers, athletes and teammates to define and implement process improvements, make everything faster and more reliable, provide feedback to improve monitoring tools, error detections, defects, and elimination while improving Mean Time to Detection/Resolution, and overall service availability and customer satisfaction. The supervisor at Dick's Sporting Goods (DSG) provides an opportunity to blend operation services system design and software engineering skills with passion for troubleshooting and defects elimination to address an ever-changing applications and environments with scalability and service reliability challenges. Responsibilities: * Lead the effort to enhance and expand our standard support procedures for situations that arise compromising the effective and timely execution of critical systems and services. This will include an assessment of the situation, categorization of the incident, engagement of the support staff, escalation to appropriate management and full documentation of the events * Develop knowledge of common break points, suspected fault areas, and staffing challenges aimed at improving the cooperative and collaborative joint efforts of the team. * Manage knowledge repository, and information sharing between the all L1 Operations teams. Write reports of activities and abnormalities, utilizing existing and new documentation including turnover logs, statistical summaries, etc. * You will assess complex, business critical processes and technology issues that impact margins and overall bottom line financial numbers and customer loyalty/experience. * You will lead root cause analysis/investigations through identifying, analyzing processes, remediating service(s) performance and availability issues to ensure maximum service uptime and availability. * Assist with the coordination and conduct Blameless Post Incident Reviews. * Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services-from inception design and transition, through deployment, operation, and refinement. * Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health. * You're expected to be on- call and have strong written communication skills and be able to develop working relationships with coworkers, managers, athletes, and teammates. * Work across multiple product teams simultaneously to support rapid repair and development efforts.
