The Cook Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising work of employees to ensure efficiency and adherence to established standards. Duties of this position include, instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meal services begin on time and portion control, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality.

This position will also be responsible for performing food preparation and production tasks efficiently and accurately while following safe food handling policies, procedures, and recipes. The ideal candidate must have experience supervising a team, as well as prior cooking experience preferably in an institutional setting with an emphasis on scratch and high quantity cooking.

Tech I is a team member who is able to perform certain skills under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor or Charge Nurse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Maintains par levels of supplies in the Emergency Department by monitoring use/availability of special order supplies and Omnicells. * Performs cycle counts of each Omnicell storage module on a weekly basis. * Maintains par levels of linen in each treatment room / patienta care area. * Assists in supporting clean, safe, hazard-free environment. * Maintains and ensures availability of equipment specific to the Emergency Department. * Performs daily room checks, maintains adequate supply levels to ensure proper supplies in the treatment rooms/areas. * Adheres to the safety policies and procedures of the organization. * Recognizes and reports potential safety issues. * Demonstrates ability to use biomedical equipment properly. * Maintains confidentiality and actively supports patient/family rights. * Supports and contributes to organizational cost saving initiatives. * Serves as patient advocate. * Participates in unit/divisional professional clinical practice. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Practices the Mercy Core Values - Excellence, Human Dignity, Justice, Mercy, Sacredness of Life and Service.
