Responsibilities
Established in 1986, Anchor Hospital specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for teens, adults and seniors. Our mental health facility in Atlanta, Georgia is located on a secluded, 55-acre campus, less than three miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and is accredited by the Joint Commission.
The overall functions of this position are to prepare and serve regular and special diets to patients and employees. Understand and effectively deliver on all recipes and food service concepts as directed.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED (preferred), or equivalent combination education and experience
Experience:
2-5 Year's experience working as a cook preferred.
License/Certification:
Food handler permit preferred
Skills:
Must be familiar with inventorying, cooking by recipes, quantity cooking and following written procedures. Food handling and sanitation.
Physical Requirements:
Stands and walks most of the day. Handles and manipulates equipment.
Stoops and reaches for equipment. Lifts and carries food and kitchen equipment (up to 50 lbs.). Tastes and smells food to determine quality.
Other:
Performs others duties as may be assigned by Director of Dietary/ Nutrition Services.
