The new Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital (SSRRH) is located in the heart of Northern California's famous wine country, just 50 miles north of San Francisco and 30 minutes from the beautiful Pacific Coast. Providing quality health care services to the residents of Sonoma County for over 130 years, SSRRH has 118 licensed beds (84 Inpatient, 24 Outpatient & 10 Labor & Delivery) and serves a population of more than 130,000 people.
Centers of excellence include: Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Women's and Children's Services, and Level III NICU.
The Cook is responsible for the preparation of food for patients of all ages (infant, toddler, school-age, adolecent,adult, geriatric), staff, visitors, and catering functions, according to established standards of quality, quantity, and sanitation. The Cook is also responsible for food preparation to meet patient therapeutic/modified diet needs.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Completion of special courses in institutional food production and therapeutic diets is hightly desirable.
Must have previous quantity-food-production experience.
Experience in an acute-care or long-term care hospital in food preparation for modified diets is highly desirable.
Must be able to evaluate food quality of ingredients and finished product, and food prepared must meet quality standards.
