Landmark Hospital of Naples has an exciting opportunity for a cook to join our dedicated and professional team, where we are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to our patients.

Position: Cook - part-time. Must have flexible availability.

Summary:
Prepare food in accordance with prescribed patient diet specifications, facility procedures directed by the Clinical Dietitian and Chef Manager to ensure optimum food quality service.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows culinary production records in the preparation of patients' food production

  • Small batch cooks and/or cooks to order to ensure quality and temperature of food

  • Checks prep/pull sheets for the following day and pulls/preps foods as needed

  • Prepares attractive and palatable food for patient therapeutic and regular diets in quantities dictated by the food production sheets and room service tickets

  • Set up and garnish patient and dining

  • Maintains sanitary conditions of floors, stove, worktables and other equipment used in the performance of duties; records temperatures appropriately following AHCA and HACCP Guidelines

  • Assists in putting up stock and maintains rotation of stock, keeps storage areas organized and sanitary, with all foods labeled and dated

  • Minimizes waste of food by following production sheets and correct portioning of food, as well as through rotation of stock and appropriate handling and storage of all food

  • Attends culinary production meetings for effective team communication

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • ServSafe certification preferred

  • One year of food service experience in a high volume culinary production capacity

  • Knowledge of cooking methods

  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instruction in English

  • Experience in institutional healthcare or hospitality industry preferred

Further, Team Members must be prepared and able to perform the duties inherent in other Team Member job descriptions. All positions must strive to support WFM core values and goals, promote national, regional, and store programs and initiatives, and ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations including Food Safety and regulatory duties required in the department. Job Responsibilities * Checks product to ensure it meets WFM quality standards. * Accurately sorts and scans waste. * Maintains production standards. * Stocks and cleans shelves, bins, and food preparation areas. * Maintains back stock in good order. * Handles DC and UNFI invoices for product delivered outside store receiving hours. * Properly checks-in product and reports miss-picks to team leadership. * Receives product from receiving location to sales floor or appropriate back stock spaces. * Aids in receiving and sorting overnight deliveries for other teams. * Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings. * Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously. * Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product. * Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices. * Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards. * Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing. * Immediately reports safety hazards and violations. * Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
