We're seeking a positive, friendly, team-oriented and customer service driven Cook to assemble, prepare, and portion food for our Staff, Students and Residents. With our Cook position we offer flexible schedules, predictable hours, training, growth opportunities, and benefits.

Some of the daily tasks that the Cook will encounter include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible

• Follows National school lunch program, standardized recipes, and guidelines for cooks to prepare, store and use food

• Participate in meal preparation for special events and group functions

• Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery

• Performs washing and cleaning duties to insure sanitation

• Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, steamer, food grinders, and more

• Helps serve Staff, Students and Residents when needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A minimum high school diploma/GED is required. Educational food production courses are preferred. Two years of experience in large scale cooking operation is preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge, ServeSafe certification is preferred.
