WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Consistently prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner, or hor d'oeuvres to standards established by the Executive Chef.

  • Ensures that work area is kept clean and orderly.

  • Assist in development of associates.

  • Must be able to stand a full shift

  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with customer of fellow cast members.

  • Any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.

  • Minimum of three years experience in full service restaurant preferred.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other cast members of the organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Apprentice for Certification preferred.

  • Knowledge and the ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment. The ability to identify all products used in kitchen operation. Able to recognize spoiled or questionable products.

  • Ability to read, comprehend and executive recipes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Must successfully complete C.A.R.E or TIPS training. (if applicable)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to work independently and with a team. Able to cook using industry and property standard techniques, procedures and equipment.

Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and/or entire shift. Flexibility in fingers and hands to utilize kitchen equipment, bottles/glasses/knives/, etc. Responds to visual and aural cues along with experiencing extreme temperature changes

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces. Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push and pull a minimum of 100 lbs. in a cart. Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder while carrying a minimum of 50 lbs.
