How will you contribute to our dietary team? As our newest Cook II, you will:
Plan, coordinate, oversee, and inspect work activities of a moderate sized dietary staff to ensure work is completed efficiently, timely, and properly
Oversee a major part of meal preparation for hospital patients, serving, and cleanup in the kitchen to ensure meals are ready on time, served correctly and cleanup is thorough
Teaches new dietary staff the proper methods of volume food preparation and utilization of kitchen utensils to ensure job proficiency
Order food supplies and complete inventory control to ensure products/ingredients are sufficiently supplied
Cook vegetables and meats, carves and serves meats, and makes salads in order to prepare complete balanced meals and ensure portion control for hospital patients
Oversee the cleaning of kitchen utensils and kitchen surfaces in order to maintain sanitary and cleanliness standards
Plan, direct, oversee, and coordinate the work of dietary staff
Menu planning and preparation for a large hospital patient population
Minimum Qualifications:
Two (2) years' experience in large scale institutional/hospital food preparation including serving and cleanup.
