Position Summary

  • Cook
  • Prepares and serves food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets following facility menus, current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, in line with our established policies and procedures to ensure that quality dining services, as may be directed by the Dining Services Director, are provided at all times. Assists in assuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed. In the absence of the Dining Services Director, will also support Dietary Aide as necessary and direct other employees with approval.
  • Safety
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions. Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety precautions. Reporting equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion. Ensure the established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met. Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is achieved at all times. Follow proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques.
  • Punctuality
  • Consistent attendance and punctual arrival. Timely completion of assigned cleaning area according to schedule. Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Customer Experience
  • Positively represents HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience
  • Positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.

  • After completing all appropriate training, utilize leadership skills to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience in food preparation preferred. May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.

  • ServSafe: Current ServSafe certification is required by State / County law. The time of publication of the job description requires ServSafe Food Handler Certification in the following States: CA, FL, IL, OR, TX, UT, and WA. County requirements are in effect in the following States at publication: AL, AZ, KS, MO, MT, NE, NJ, NM, MV, NY, OK, VA and WV.

  • Food Handler's card is required.

  • Must be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively with others.

  • Must be able to be at work as scheduled and on time.

  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.

  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.

  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.

  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.

  • Must live in the service area.

Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities Include the following. <br><br> Other duties may be assigned. Customer Service • Project a positive representation. • Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the store. • Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates. • Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently. • Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively. • Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance. • Continually build product knowledge base and possess the ability to assist customers with store layout and product location. • Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise. <br><br> Register Operations • Follow all cash register transaction procedures. • Responsible for balancing of register drawer. • Adhere to any Store Support Center program or promotion that may require implementation at the cash registers. • Participate in store and Cashier meetings. Front End Appearance and Upkeep • Keep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean at all times. Face and dust front end. • Assist with keeping impulse counters stocked and faced, rotate fresh merchandise in as seasons change. • Ensure fresh ads are stocked in shopping carts at all times. • Ensure forms and supplies are stocked at all times. • Assist with decorating the front end according to the Store Support Center program. • Call for cart pickups when necessary. • Inform management when merchandise returns need to be put away. • Perform all other duties as assigned. <br><br> Education/Training High School or GED equivalent. Experience Cashier experience preferred. Customer service experience preferred. Physical Demands Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing.</p><br> Ace Hardware Kingwood WV
