Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing animal husbandry duties in a commercial or research setting. Brief Description of Duties: Take care of Lab animals in order to help research work. * Cleaning, changing cages, bottles, scrubbing pens, feed/water animals, observe/report sick/dead/injured animals; sweep, mop, house and squeegee rooms; * Sanitize and buff rooms; * Insure cage cards are filled out properly; * Take daily census of animal population and fill out prescribed forms; * Operate automatic cage washers; * Take garbage out; * Wash laundry; * Pair groups of animals for mating under supervision. Special Notes: These are full-time positions, 40 hours per week, days varied, shift hours 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Weekend work required. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Mandatory rehire roster candidates have preference.
