Cook Job Description
Under the direction of the Chef/Production Manager or the Director, the Cook is responsible for cooking meals and providing food service to patients, and is also responsible both catering and retail food service.
Prepares all food items strictly adhering to CNS company recipes and designated production quantities as written on the "Daily Production Sheet."
Must have a properly calibrated thermometer.
Maintains a clean and organized work area throughout the day and follow departmental cleaning, sanitation, and closing procedures.
Labels and dates all food items.
Breaks down and discards all cardboard boxes.
Assists management in any way that is conducive to the successful and efficient operation of the kitchen.
Adheres to Facility's Emergency Preparedness Program, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, as well as other mandatory programs in the facility as appropriate.
Adheres to facility's Policies and Procedures, including the confidentiality and Patient's Rights Policies as outlined in the facility's Policies and Procedures Manual.
Performs other tasks as may be assigned.
Food Server Job Description
The main objective of the Ambassador role is to deliver meals, assist in patient menu selection, and cater to patient needs in a timely fashion. In addition, the Ambassador acts as the representative of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
Prepares all cold/hot items and condiments for meal times according to quantities as written on the "Daily Production List."
Focuses on presentation of patient trays-including meal accuracy and meal temperature-and ensures timely tray delivery.
Is responsible for patient satisfaction during the shift for the assigned floors.
Patient Menu Selection
Delivers and collects patient menus in a timely manner.
Keeps hot food hot and cold food cold during meal delivery.
Is responsible for meal accuracy and diet appropriateness while delivering patient trays.
Ensures all patients' needs are catered to during the shift in between meal times.

Cashier Job Description
The main objective of the Cashier position is to maintain the cafeteria so that it's ready for service in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the quality of food presentation, cleanliness in the area, and the readiness of food during the time of service. In addition, cashiers are responsible for balancing the cash drawer during their shifts.
Is responsible for the general order and cleanliness of the cafeteria area, including sweeping and mopping.
Follows proper procedures during the time of service.
Takes the temperature of food and tastes foods before tray line starts.
Keeps all condiments and utensils ready for time of service and keeps all beverages, cold box items, and chips ready and replenished during the time of service.
Refills retail refrigerator and maintains cleanliness during time of service.
Maintains temperature log using T-sticks or recommended thermometers.
Maintains cash balance for his or register during the shift.
Handles all customers with respect, friendliness, and a smiling face.
Discusses with manager whenever there is a discrepancy on the cash register.
Caters to all customer needs as much as possible.
