Farnum is Easterseals New Hampshire's comprehensive alcohol and other drug addiction treatment program that offers a full continuum of care including Detoxification, Residential and Outpatient services. We are seeking a Cook to join the Farnum team! This position is responsible for cooking and meal preparation in a facility that provides treatment for Substance Use Disorders. The individual in this key position will have the following responsibilities:

• Assist with the food service program at the assigned facility

• Help produce all meals and adhere to the established menu plan

• Direct daily activities of Food Service Assistants when applicable

• Coordinate special diet needs with the facility nurse and/or dietician

• Help coordinate special events and overnight menu planning with program personnel

• Share the responsibility for all food sanitation (dishes, pots and pans, floors, tables, kitchen utensils, ovens, grill, slicer, etc.).

• Share the responsibility for personal hygiene practices for all food service staff

• Adhere to a Safety/Risk Management Program.

Qualifications:

• One year experience as a cook at a camp, school, residential program or food service establishment

• Current ServSafe or other Food Safety Training certification preferred

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation: $19.00-$21.50 per hour, based upon qualifications, certifications and education

Hours: This is a full-time position. The schedule is Sunday-Thursday, 9:30am-6:30pm.
