Cook/Dietary Aide needed for a full time position
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the preparation of meals and nourishment during an eight hour shift. Position will also assist with other kitchen/deartment specific duties to include cleaning and stocking.
Palo Verde Behavioral Health (PVBH) is a 84 bed private psychiatric facility providing inpatient and intensive outpatient psychiatric services through treatment programs tailored to our patients needs for the purpose of creating positive outcomes. PVBH will build on the excellent skills of our current Psychiatrists, licensed registered nurses, clinical social workers and licensed professional counselors to support these programs.
Qualifications
Position Reqirements:
Education/Experience: Must have prior experience in food service, and have a basic knowledge of food service sanitation.
HS Diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain an AZ Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with facility and departmental policies and procedures regarding food service.
Comply with established guidelines for sanitation and safet
Obtain the tray count by unit for each breakfast, lunch and dinner meal.
Assist the cook in preparing each meal tray.
Assist in the preparation of entrée and side salads.
Preparing unit snacks and snacks for modified diets.
Wash dishes and maintain the dishroom area in a clean and orderly fashion.
Utilize portion control guidelines when preparing food.
Record dish machine temperatures on daily log.
Maintain cleanliness of the dining room and food preparation area at all times.
Maintain an adequate supply of beverages and ensure coffee pots remain full.
Interact well with patients in the serving line and offer assistance when needed.
Encourage a harmonious working relationship in the department as well as with all employees of the facility.
Report any equipment malfunction immediately to the Food Service Manager or Cook.
Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.
Attend all mandatory facility inservices and staff development activities as scheduled.
Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality.
Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives.
Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.
