Cook, Destination Kohler
Location: Kohler, WI
$500 SIGN ON BONUS
Do you take pleasure in prepping a wide variety of food and contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests? If so, then the position of cook at one of our venues in Destination Kohler is for you!
Specific responsibilities for each level of cook will vary, including:
Preparing all foods necessary for service
Ordering and Inventory control
Practicing safe food handling techniques
Maintaining knife safety standards
Demonstrating competency in breakfast cookery, vegetable preparations, cooking starches, sandwich preparation, basic meat, fish, & poultry cooking
Conducting monthly inventory taking
For higher level cook positions:
Advanced meat, fish and poultry fabrication, advanced stocks, soups and sauce preparation
Develop daily specials that contribute to the development of our food program and new menus
Having an advanced knowledge of multiple styles of service
Demonstrating leadership in your work group, have the ability to lead the kitchen in the absence of the unit chef
We have positions available at the following venues, requiring weekdays & weekends:
Blackwolf Run - part time, 8:00am to 4:00pm or 3:00pm to close
Craverie - part time, between 6:30am and 3:00pm
Horse & Plow - part time, 8:00am to 4:00pm or 3:00pm to close
Inn on Woodlake - full time & part time, 4:00am to 12:00pm
Pastry Kitchen, The American Club - part time, 4:00am to 12:00pm or 12:00pm to 8:00pm
Wisconsin Room - part time, 4:00am to 12:00pm or 3:00pm to 11:00pm
Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and able to execute recipes accurately in a timely manner
Able to work food preparation stations in assigned area
Minimum of a high school diploma
Candidates must be able to:
Sit, stand, twist, bend, push, pull, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Be able to work effectively in a kitchen environment with occasional extremes in temperature
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
