We are seeking a#Cook to: Join our world-class team of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals in providing everything from preventive health care to highly specialized programs. Provide quality care in a compassionate patient- and family- centered environment. Prepare and present all food in a timely manner for the cafeteria, tray line and special functions within the SwedishAmerican Health System. Consistently maintain accurate food production records. Consistently comply with health codes and HACCP regulations to ensure food safety guidelines are met while preparing foods. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives. Education: At least one year experience in quantity food preparation. Experience/Skills: Ability to effectively interact and communicate with staff, visitors and members of the community. Must be able to adapt schedule to meet time constraints of service area. Ability to respond to and resolve customer complaints. Successful completion#of annual job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Mathematical skills are essential. Licenses and Certifications: Must have current State of#Illinois Food Sanitation certification or obtain within 6 months of hire. If not valid license is in place prior to hire, Serve Safe#Food#Handler certification required to be completed within 30 days of hire. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent bending, crouching, carrying,#pushing/pulling.
