Overview: The Chef position entails working in the kitchen to prepare delicious meals for our residents, while supporting the Dining Services Director (Executive Chef). They also contribute to the creation and execution of our signature dining services programs. The goal is to provide exceptional and memorable dining experiences for our residents. The position involves serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks, seven days a week, without late nights or super early mornings.

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidates should have a Serve Safe Certification and previous line-cook experience in the food service industry.

Duties:

• Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes and quality standards

• Assist in menu planning and recipe development

• Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures

• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

Skills:

• Previous experience in the food industry as a cook or similar role

• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology

• Ability to use various kitchen equipment, including knives and other tools

• Strong understanding of food handling and safety guidelines

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in menu planning and catering is a plus

• Large quantity cooking

• Knowledge and experience cooking from scratch

• Knowledge of Interpersonal skills
