Responsibilities

  • Cooks food according to recipes and follows standard cooking methods to produce a consistent product.

  • Follows all recipes and tastes food being cooked to ensure quality.

  • Records amount of food prepared and leftovers on production forecasting sheets.

  • Cleans and sanitizes all food surface areas, counters and equipment.

Requirements

  • VARIED schedule. Weekends required.

  • High School Diploma or GED with five years of cooking experiene in a healthcare or institutional setting or

  • Associates degree or culinary certification from an accredited school of cooking with one year of experience.

  • Frequent physical demands include: Walking , Carry objects , Push/Pull , Twisting , Bending , Reaching forward , Reaching overhead , Wrist position deviation , Taste or Smell Occasional physical demands include: Sitting , Climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders) , Squat/kneel/crawl Continuous physical demands include: Standing , Talk or Hear Lifting Floor to Waist 50 lbs. Lifting Waist Level and Above 50 lbs.
