Highland Ridge Hospital is an 83-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility located in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley. Highland Ridge is owned by Acadia Healthcare, a national leader in the behavioral healthcare industry. We are the oldest specialty treatment program in the state of Utah and are fully accredited by the Joint Commission.

Food services is a vital department for the facility. The cook implements menus and coordinates food preparation and service of meals.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Cook food according to menus.

  • Direct activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

  • Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.

  • Take inventory of supplies and equipment.

  • Work with Food Service leadership or Dietitian to ensure menus are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetizing.

  • Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities.

  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, cost parameters, and appropriate regulatory requirements.

VIEW JOBS 10/4/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-02T00:00 Job Description Our Bright Horizons center at Overstock.com is hiring a part-time cook. This position is Monday-Friday from 10:30am-4:00pm. Prepares nutritionally balanced, attractive family-style meals for Bright Horizons Family Solutions children and staff. Plans menus taking into account the center budget, the foods in season, local availability and state and federal nutritional requirements for children. Keeps an accurate inventory of supplies and orders replacement of supplies as needed. Child care has special demands in that we care for children who in many instances, cannot care for themselves. Job Requirements * Must be at least 18 years old (21 years if responsible for driving a van) and a high school diploma or equivalent. * Should be knowledgeable of state nutritional requirements of children. * Has relevant experience in a licensed child care facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, public school cafeteria, or equivalent. * May be required to have food service/food handlers permit or license according to state/local regulations.
