We are looking for a Full-Time Cook to join our team!

For over 66 years, Starlite Recovery Center has been providing adult clients in the heart of the Hill Country in Center Point, Texas, with caring and highly effective drug rehab for substance abuse, alcohol addiction, and co-occurring issues.

Starlite Recovery Center is part of the Acadia Healthcare system, a provider of addiction, behavioral and mental health treatment facilities in the United States, United Kingdom and Puerto Rico.

Schedule: Rotating schedule with some mornings at 5am and some some days and 11:30am - 7pm. Please note, this position will be required to work on the weekends.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Cook and prepare food according to approved menus.
• Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
• Take inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Work with Food Service leadership to ensure menus are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetizing.
• Serve clients meals as they come through the dining line.
• Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities.
• Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, cost parameters, and appropriate regulatory requirements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional education or training in the culinary field preferred.
• Two or more years' experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state, facility. (Provided by facility if candidate does not already have in place.)
