Job Description

To ensure all prep items are prepared and stored to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work pantry station by preparing salads for guests

  • Control quality and consistency of all food served

  • Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service

  • Ensure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply on a timely basis

  • Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned station

  • Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines

  • Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame.

  • Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times

Qualifications

  • Basic prep cook experience

  • Some restaurant/hotel experience

  • Basic knife skills and food identification

  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per day

  • Flexible scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Must have an unexpired Food Handlers' certification

Coordinate needs, including acute care, community-based long term care, behavioral health, disease management and non-capitated services with the goal of delaying or avoiding institutionalization, maximizing member functional status, and facilitating members thriving in the least restrictive, safe environment. Identify special needs members through the completion of health screenings and other resources. Conduct screening and develop interventions per program guidelines. Collaborate with varoius departments to coordinate member care and referrals to and community support systems, such as Centers for Independent Living, Area Agencies on Aging, Local IDD Authorities, and LMHAs. Educate members about covered services including Consumer Directed Services, LTSS, Value Added Services as appropriate, and non-covered services such as how to access affordable integrated housing. Educate members with special needs to foster compliance with program and positively impact outcomes. Participate in initial and ongoing training as required. Perform outreach to members as needed. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED. 3 years of direct experience in a managed care environment working with people with disabilities, and/or vulnerable populations with chronic or complex conditions. Experience in a customer service related environment preferred. Preferred: Up to 15% travel in to community organizations and training sites in the area. There is no need for an overnight stay.
