As a Banquet Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's banquet kitchen. Your role is crucial in ensuring exceptional culinary experiences for guests attending banquets, weddings, conferences, and other events hosted by the hotel. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef to deliver high-quality food and uphold hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards.

• Ensure all food preparation meets food safety and sanitation standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including food storage and preparation areas.

• Assist in food inventory and control procedures.

• Work closely with the Banquet Chef and culinary team to ensure timely preparation of food orders.

• Communicate effectively with banquet staff to fulfill guest orders and special requests.

• Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, including grooming, uniform standards, and attendance.

This is an hourly position with a compensation of $24 per hour.

• Requires good communication skills.

• Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a banquet or catering environment.

• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
