Responsible for assisting the Chef and Sous Chef in the daily planning and production of all meals served from the kitchen. Duties include: Inspect and clean food prep and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling.Ensure food is stored and cooked correctly, including by regulating temperature of equipment.Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons.Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.Prepare fruits and vegetables.
Estimate expected food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, and procure food from storage.Help guide and train Cook II & IIIs. Assist to create specials, expedite a la carte Menu of up to 250 people, and to plan and organize daily production.Enforce standards for quality, presentation and consistency. Job Requirements:
Twelve (12) months of work experience as a Cook or related occupation. Twelve (12) months experience with advanced cooking skills & techniques in all kitchen stations: Salads, Desserts, Broiler/Grill, Sauce/Sauté, Fryer, Vegetables, Expeditor.Twelve (12) months advanced experience of Meat and Fish preparation, stages of doneness and presentation.Twelve (12) months experience with large volume food preparation.Twelve (12) months of experience with seafood and meat butchery.Twelve (12) months of experience with food purchasing and receiving.Six (6) months of experience with accounting procedures such as inventories, recipe and menu costing Contact: Apply online at https://apply.jobappnetwork.com/ocean-reef-club/en or email resumes to employment@oceanreef.com
