An entry level cook requires good communication and basic culinary skills. The desired cook candidate will have some cooking experience, but not required. An entry level cook should have some professional knowledge or understanding of cooking ingredients and procedures. Entry level cook will work in the prep kitchen, single stations in the kitchen and require significant supervision and training.

Wage Information:

The salary range for this position is $19.50 to $25.35. The starting hourly rate is $19.50. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.

Experience:

• Requires fair communication skills.

• No previous experience necessary.

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Capable of performing repetitious duties.

• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

• Possess food handler's card.
