Converting Operations Manager

Position Overview:

• Manage operations to ensure efficient and safe equipment and system performance aligned with business goals.
• Lead converting production activities to meet safety, cost, quality, consumer, and customer requirements.
• Implement world-class manufacturing systems and tools based on TPM and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and exemplify safety vision and expectations for the converting department.
• Implement TPM and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Ensure production of high-quality products at low costs, consistent with customer requirements and profit objectives.
• Ensure manufacturing excellence and compliance.
• Manage staffing, operational efficiency, maintenance, and cost control, including recruiting, training, and retaining staff.
• Develop innovative policies, methods, and procedures.
• Maximize use of SAP for higher ROI and workflow optimization.
• Analyze and communicate operational metrics.
• Advise Senior Management on operational issues.
• Promote a collaborative environment through transparency and effective communication.
• Lead and manage direct reports with coaching, performance feedback, and incentives.
• Ensure training and development to maximize employee contributions to business success.

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years in high-speed manufacturing, preferably with tissue paper converting experience.
• 5+ years in production management with extensive people management responsibilities.
• Proven experience in TPM and Continuous Improvement environments.
• Ability to lead and develop high-performance teams.
