Newport Group has an excellent opportunity for a Conversion Project Manager at our Folsom, CA office.
The Conversion Project Manager will manage conversions and implementation of new Qualified plans to Newport systems to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and client expectations.
S/he will act as overall project manager by coordinating all elements of plan conversion and implementation.
Work with other departments to ensure common understanding of requirements and deliverables and to ensure that plans are converted and implemented to suit contractual requirements and customer expectations.
Establish client implementation and plan conversion procedures and templates.
In addition, the Conversion Project Manager will be responsible for performing quality assurance audits of all conversion activity and documentation to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and client expectations.
Follow PMO process using standard artifacts while analyzing each project for unique conditions.
Manage scope and follow change management process for scope changes.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.
A.) from four-year college or university in related field 5 - 7 years in the retirement plan industry Project Management experience, strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of implementation and conversion of retirement plans required The candidate must have strong problem solving skills must be proactive and resourceful and be able to exercise sound judgment Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as interaction with clients, the team and other areas of the firm is critical to success.
Strong Communicator with the ability to coordinate activities and tasks among disbursed project teams DST experience preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) professional certification a plus

A PMO (Program Management Office) Program Manager at Micron is responsible for the development of products from the planning stage through qualification and product ramp in accordance with Micron's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process. In this position, the individual will also be responsible for achieving the program targets captured in the project release document (schedule, quality, costs, manufacturing readiness and budget), and for directing the Product Development Team Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Capture product requirements in close cooperation with the respective the BU (Business Unit) representative. * Drive an alignment process of product development targets with Engineering, R&D and BU. * Establish and Lead the PDT, this includes: * Regular meetings to track the progress of the project. * Set the pace, focus, and intensity of the entire team. * Serve as the conscience of the PDT, addressing all issues raised by the team. * Establish a detailed Microsoft Project schedule as the single source of truth, with critical milestones and stage gate (decision points) * Confirm availability of resources required to achieve the goals of the project and drive closure of gaps. * Work with the Supply Chain representative on a sample delivery plan for engineering and qualification samples. * Capture and manage all project risks/issues and mitigation plans * Manage change requests, ensuring timely closure of decisions to proceed or close the request * Monitor the project plan and provide weekly updates on progress, risks, and escalations. * Identify and quickly make decisions. Escalate decisions that are beyond the scope of the PDT in a timely fashion. * Solve conflicts and set priorities to reach project goals * Participate actively in stage gate reviews according to the project schedule * Drive product qualification and ramp as well as hand-off to Manufacturing/Supply Chain * Coordinate and document Lessons Learned to ensure proliferation of knowledge and best practices across the company * Uphold the requirements of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) at Micron Minimum Qualifications: * Experience leading project or program teams * Can drive complex development projects * Can quickly analyze data and information * Communicate openly and effectively * Have a good presence in meetings and excellent presentation skills * Able to travel domestically and internationally, * HHave 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or storage development * Bachelor's degree in related field of study * Project Management certification and/or 10 years experience in project or program management Location: Milpitas CA, Folsom CA, Boise ID, or Logmont CO About Us As the leader in innovative memory solutions, Micron is helping the world make sense of data by delivering technology that is transforming how the world uses information.
