Job description: The controls tech is responsible for preventative maintenance systems and repairs in support of operational goals on 2nd shift. May have all or partial responsibility for mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical / hydraulic equipment such as assembly cells, conveyor systems, robots, and various other production machines and equipment.
PLCs and robotic programming / troubleshooting skills
Experience with diagnosing issues via HMI or PLC
Experience repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Problem Solving – Recognize and solve the malfunctioning of the machine and recognize quality problems of welded assembly part
Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic prints
Able and willing to work last minute and required overtime
Own tools required
Required:
HS diploma/GED
advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs
or equivalent experience
Preferred experience:
USDOL Journeyman certificate preferred
5 years previous employment in a manufacturing environment – automotive preferred, other equivalent work experience or skills training
