We are searching for a Controls Research Scientist to join our exceptional team. In this role you will support optical and directed energy programs by performing research, analysis, design and development of control systems algorithms and software. Some areas of responsibility include:

Advanced control and stabilization concepts
Jitter/beamwalk control
Wavefront control
Target detection, tracking, and filtering

We are seeking someone who demonstrates genuine interest in these subjects and who is eager to be mentored by a respected expert in the field. You should demonstrate the ability able to work effectively and thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. You will have strong communication skills, an excellent analytic skill set enjoy working in a dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment.

You would typically have a related PhD with 0 - 3 years of professional experience, a Masters with 3 - 5 years, or a Bachelors with 5 - 8 years, or equivalent experience/combined education.

VIEW JOBS ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manages strategies for obtaining clinical evidence using the product evidence strategy plan process (PESP) * Collaborate cross-functionally with Government Affairs, Medical and Scientific Affairs on PESP * Develops strategies for clinical trials for US, EU and/or rest of world registration studies as determined by business priorities * Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team in the development, creation and execution of study protocols * Establishes scientific methods for design and implementation of clinical protocols * Prepares scientific content of clinical study reports * Reviews clinical section for regulatory submissions * Develops good collaborations with scientists, internally and externally * Has and maintains scientific, technical and clinical expertise in oncology especially with respect to molecular diagnostics * Reviews pertinent literature, prepares white papers/manuscripts, and provides education to Cepheid staff as needed. * Ensures clinical data meets all necessary regulatory standards * Ensure that activities are conducted in compliance with current applicable regulations, laws and guidance including but not limited to US, EU and China regulation as well as with Cepheid's policies and procedures.
