Our Jacksonville manufacturing facility has about 250 employees operating over three shifts.

Job Summary: This is a 3rd shift position!

Develops, plans, coordinates, and implements controls engineering projects consisting of complex features in order to best support the plant and its' operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement control systems for our automated production line.

  • Program and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to control manufacturing processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, to integrate control systems with production equipment.

  • Select and integrate sensors and instrumentation for process monitoring and quality control.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, implementing safety systems and protocols.

  • Analyze data from sensors and control systems to optimize process efficiency and quality.

  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving control system issues to minimize downtime.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of control system designs and procedures.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production line performance.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation and control technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Proven experience in industrial automation and control systems.

  • Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI design (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar platforms).

  • Knowledge of safety standards and devices in industrial automation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Project management experience is a plus.

  • Experience with MSSQL or Python is a bonus.

Travel Requirements:

Possible travel to customers and suppliers, domestically and internationally.

Physical Requirements:

Essential physical requirements, such as climbing stairs, standing, stooping, or typing. Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds and/or move up to 50 pounds with aids.
