Responsibilities

  • Engineer Specialist Control:

  • Lead Manufacturing Controls engineering activity for Assembly or Machining operations

  • Apply engineering principles to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity

  • Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices

  • Implement PLC programming changes to various manufacturing equipment supporting launch, continuous improvement and crisis maintenance events

  • Work with the maintenance & production teams to resolve day-to-day manufacturing concerns

  • Work with the quality team to improve or develop new error proofing strategies

  • Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays when required, as well as rotating shifts

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming

  • Strong working knowledge of electrical hardware including vision systems, nut runners, robot systems, power distribution, I/O distribution and other machine electrical components\Familiarity with assembly stations, press applications, other manufacturing systems

  • Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

  • Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience

  • 5+ years of controls engineering experience

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science

High School Diploma
