An experienced Controls Engineer position is currently available through Belcan in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Siemens PCS 7 systems and all related components used for programming software and hardware. This role requires a deep understanding of process control systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and implement control systems using Siemens PCS 7.

• Configure and program Siemens PCS 7 software, including the setup of hardware and software components.

• Conduct system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.

• Provide technical support and maintenance for existing PCS 7 systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement project plans.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all system designs, configurations, and modifications.

• Train and support end-users on the operation and maintenance of PCS 7 systems.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.

• 5 to 7 years of controls experience

• Proven experience with Siemens PCS 7 systems and related components.

• Proficiency in programming languages used in PCS 7 environments.

• Strong knowledge of control systems design and implementation.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certification in Siemens PCS 7.

• Experience in industrial automation and process control.

• Familiarity with other Siemens products and solutions.
