Controls Engineer

This local custom machine builder is looking for an individual that will be starting as the first controls engineer on the team. This person will be responsible for PLC programming, electrical design, and robotics integration - primarily Fanuc.

There is huge opportunity to become a lead in the department as the company grows. This person should have the ability to train other engineers, and ideally has managed projects from start to finish.

• Primarily material handling projects

• Flexible hours

• 1st shift

• 40-45 hour work week

• LOW TRAVEL

• <10% overnight travel - primarily Detroit area

• $2/hr. premium when on the road

• M-F, home every weekend

• 50/50 office v. on the floor

• Laid back working environment

• Bi-annual bonuses & tuition reimbursement after 12 months

MUST HAVES:

• PLC Programming from scratch

• Allen Bradley

• Electrical Design

• AutoCAD E or Solidworks E

• Robotics integration experience
