Implement new and support existing automated equipment globally. Implementation of projects from the concept, prototype, and production phase. Drive standards program and hardware while pushing for innovations and improvements.

Job Details

  • Implement of proven and newly developed automated equipment

  • Lead controls designs (Controls requirements, Automation, Integration)

  • Develop predictive maintenance indicators to increase reliability and reduce downtime (CBM)

  • Develop PFMECA with defined contingency plan and disaster recovery

  • Robust programming skills that do not require babysitting for the life of the program- goal is to support production and work on advancements in automation.

  • Experience with -Legacy PC programs- PC coding

  • Willingness to travel globally 25-30%

Job Requirements

  • Understand and communicate applicable safety standards: general industry (OSHA 1910), machine guarding, robot safety (ANSI/RIA 15.06), automated vehicles, conveyor safety

  • Completion of Risk Assessments on all automated equipment in regards to controls

VIEW JOBS 8/1/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-10-30T00:00 Position Summary: Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for all phases of Electrical Engineering and design for Environmental Control Systems Projects. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Design and program, PLC based industrial control panels for air emission abatement equipment. (including burner controls) * Provide hand sketches of control system hardwire and panel layouts for use by AutoCAD designers * Specify all control panel components * Work with Mechanical Engineering to develop system P&ID drawings * Write system sequence of operations * Write PLC & HMI Programs * Write project electrical installation scopes of work * Review control panel fabrication when completed and work with shop personnel on control panel checkout and initial set-up in the shop * Work closely with project start-up and commissioning team to answer operational and programming questions during start-up * Work on-site if necessary to assist with system commissioning * Maintain project budget for electrical project equipment * Maintain project budget engineering hours Nonessential Functions * Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering * Knowledge of National Electric Code, and UL508a requirements. * 5 or more years of experience with electrical engineering design for industrial controls and panels * Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming a must. (RSLogix5000, FactoryTalk View, Studio 5000) * Experience with industrial networking: Ethernet IP, Modbus, ProfiBus, ProfiNet, Devicenet, etc. * Knowledge of variable frequency drives, panel wiring, electrical field installation and costs. * Experience with instrumentation and process control * Understanding of process instrumentation drawings (P&IDs), flow diagrams and instrument symbols and functions * Design engineering calculation ability * Able to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings * Ability to learn and utilize Microsoft Visio * Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Ability to understand and maintain project schedules * Good time management skills * Good organizational skills * Good verbal communication skills * Good technical writing skills * Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers * Able to work well independently and in a team environment * Adaptable to change in a learning environment * Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary The following additional, non-essential qualifications are a plus: * Experience with Siemens control hardware and software * Knowledge of NFPA 86 (Standard for Ovens and Furnaces) * Allen Bradley safety PLC's- Guard PLC and GuardLogix * Knowledge of SIL systems, requirements and certification * Knowledge of SAP Durr Systems Inc Southfield MI
