In this role the Controlling Intern will support the Controlling Team and work closely with the Supply Chain department to implement and establish new controls. The intern will provide valuable information about the inbound and outbound freight of direct materials. In this role the Controlling Intern will ensure that overhead costs are allocated directly and accurately. The Intern will be expected to perform work in accordance with our Quality Handbook and ESH rules.
1.Create, data entry and analyze items being sold based on the following criteria in order to maximize profit:
o Freight and Handling
o Variations: Per Customer, Per Product and Per Country
o Other variable cost (i.e. packaging)
2.Create and manage purchasing ledger to gather the following data on cost per raw material:
o Freight and Handling
o Import (i.e. taxes)
3.Perform other miscellaneous analyses, document completion, or plant coordination requested by Head of Finance and IT.
4.Learn basic requirements of ContiTech Controlling processes, procedures and U.S. GAAP
Must be currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program. Must be at least a Sophomore
Must be familiar with MS Office Applications and have a strong skill set in excel
Must be willing to learn about other software used in the company
Must have data entry and database management skills
Must have analytical and analyses skills
Must have accounting skills
Must be self-motivated
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work in a multi-national environment
Must be able to work in fast paced automotive industry setting while adhering to tight deadlines and project timeframes
This internship is located in Rochester, NH
Part time at least 25 hours per week during normal business operations (8am - 5pm). This internship could last up to one year. Must commit to 10-15 hours while school is in session.
