GENERAL PURPOSE:

We are looking for a controller to lead the accounting team through the day to day accounting functions and all accounting systems, oversight of accounting policies, financial close of all communities and the budget process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership and management of the Accounting Department, including evaluating the department structure to prepare for future Company growth

  • Oversee the Company accounting functions, to include preparation of monthly Financial Reports for each community, Budgets, Internal Controls, Treasury, Accounts Receivable and Payable, and Financial Policy and Procedures

  • Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems. Ensuring that all records are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Review the monthly close process and provide measures to condense the monthly close period

  • Provide timely and accurate monthly Financial Reports to various ownership groups for the communities we serve

  • Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, fixed assets, and review of monthly journal entries

  • Work with executive team to provide key performance metrics related to the performance of each community

  • Oversee implementation of all accounting systems for new communities

  • Oversee the budget process for all communities

  • Coordinate and assist with community audits

  • Coordinate preparation of tax schedules, returns and information for ownership entities

  • Assist with portfolio tracking and cash flow projections

  • Manage delivery of Investor reporting requirements

  • Assist providing reports to lending/financial institution

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures of the company

  • Perform other duties as assigned by CFO

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7-10 years of accounting and financial management experience in growth environment

  • BS in Accounting; Master's degree preferred

  • CPA designation a must

  • Experience in Real Estate is a plus

  • Experience leading a team and implementing processes and procedures to improve operation efficiency

  • Must be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy

  • Excellent communications skills

In conjunction with DaVita Core IT Services (ITS), the analyst will monitor, assess, and fine-tune applicable IT security procedures, perform periodic systems, network and application vulnerability assessments and create actionable changes or recommendations based on risk assessment reviews or audit findings. Responsibilities * Monitor and advise information security issues related to the systems and workflow to ensure the internal security controls for the village are appropriate and operating as intended. * Monitor, manage, and administer IT Security specific technical control solutions (e.g. Content filtering, Firewall, End point protection, etc..), as well as, IT Security specific tools to assess vulnerabilities and incidents; i.e. forensics tools, vulnerability scanning tools, etc.. * Enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates, and maintains and documents security controls * Coordinate response to information security incidents (containment remediation coordination and mitigation) * Collaborate with IT management, legal, compliance and other applicable teams to manage vulnerability exposures. * Assists in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures (e.g., user log-on and authentication rules, security breach escalation procedures, security auditing procedures and use of firewalls and encryption routines). * Create, manage and maintain user security awareness. * Conduct security research in keeping abreast of latest security issues. * Involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Requirements * 5+ years of advanced IT experience * 2 years of Information Security experience * Knowledge in Incident Response/Threat Detection * Preferred industry certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security +, Network +, GCDA, GSEC, GCSE.
