The full-time Controller position is situated in the Milpitas, California area. Responsibilities include planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff.   • Perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Manage the production of the yearly budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly

  • Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll

  • Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation

  • Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed

  • Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual

  • Meet client expectations by reviewing deliverables of self and team to make sure they meet client satisfaction

  • Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

  • Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations G/L analysis

  • Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

Requirements

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • High attention to detail and possess excellent organizational and writing skills

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

  • Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

  • Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required

Controller QRA, under the NVM QRA group of Global Quality, is responsible for setting the strategy, methodology and direction for quality and reliability for all Micron Controllers. The job requires a motivated individual who works with minimal supervision in a global team environment. Micron is developing next generation memory solutions in which world class quality controllers are an essential ingredient. The controller QRA engineer can make a direct impact towards the quality of these next generation Micron memory products. In this position the QRA engineer participates in the product development life cycle and is expected to collaborate with product development teams across Architecture, Design, Fab process, package and Test. The QRA engineer establishes the use conditions requirements and develops a qualification plan that includes the required stress conditions. This is to ensure the controller meets the expected quality and reliability of the end system product. This position can sit in Milpitas, CA or Boise, ID. Responsibilities of the Controller QRA Engineer include but not limited to: * Establishing and understanding the use conditions of the product essential for controller qualification planning * Ensuring the design for reliability, design for test, design for debug and other aspects are adequately designed into the controller * Writing the qualification plan and driving its execution across the extended teams * Ensuring product health across fab and assembly by way of monitor plans * Resolving quality and reliability issues by doing risk assessment and creating mitigation plans across product development or high-volume manufacturing * Interpreting reliability failures in the context product risk assessment, assessing the failure statistics and providing mitigation plans * The successful candidate is expected to have strong problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, tolerance for ambiguity and ability to work in a team environment. Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience or Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or related field. Additionally, candidate must have experience in the area of Semiconductor design, test, integration, and characterization.
