As the Corporate Controller, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. The full-time Controller position is situated in the Sandy Springs, Georgia area. What you get to do every single day

  • Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible

  • Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

  • Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll

  • Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis

  • Check deliverables of self and team to certify they meet client expectations

  • Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management

  • Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

  • Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

  • Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Experience with managing direct reports in the US and international remote employees

  • International accounting experience

  • Interest in growing into a CFO

  • Manufacturing experience

  • CPA strongly preferred

  • Ability to travel 20-30% - Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"

  • Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Earlier work involving implementation

  • Adeptness in internal control review - tax experience highly preferred

  • Deep understanding of month end closings

  • Financial auditing experience preferred

  • Auditing experience desired

  • Demonstrated knowledge of policies procedures

  • Practical knowledge of budget forecasting

  • Background working with treasury

  • SOX experience highly desired

  • Foundational knowledge in year end closings

  • General familiarity with cash management

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

  • Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired

Apply today and let's grow together! Job Details GENERAL SUMMARY: The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. At the direction and delegation of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assists with supervision of store employees, management and presentation of merchandise, completion of paperwork, and preparation of deposits. The Assistant Store Manager also performs stocking and cashiering functions, and performs other duties as necessary to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets and reducing losses. DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase. * Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week. * Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing adequate training for employees, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring employee compliance with company policies and procedures. * Follow company work processes to manage merchandise, including receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and rotating merchandise on shelves and building merchandise displays. * Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls. * Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms; ensure merchandise is presented according to established practices and Store Manager direction. * Assist in ensuring financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability, key control, adherences to company security practices and cash control procedures; authorize and sign for refunds and overrides, count register tills, and deposit money in bank. * Assist with management of the store in the Store Manager's absence. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: * Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. * Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations. * Good organization skills with attention to detail. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. * Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages. * Ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports. * Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices. * Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control. * Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money. WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION: * High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred. * One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
